Long Hot Summer
What can I say, it’s been 30C in Cambridge, great news to some, a bit too hot for my liking. We’ve also seen some excellent tennis from Andy Murray at Wimbledon, with an amazing match on Monday played under the new roof.
I’ve got a few projects I’m working on, including an updated site for Erewash Sound and a new site for the Systemetric robotics team. I’ve just finished off a mobile radio player for Erewash Sound, and it’s an exciting time with their launch on FM radio growing closer. I’m also going to try an bring myself round to updating this site, putting up a few useful articles in the process.
To The City That Never Sleeps
In 3 days I’ll be flying out to New York for the week to compete in the First Robotics Competition for my college team. I can’t tell you how excited I am, New York is the one place I’ve always wanted to visit. I’ve already got a huge list of attractions I must visit, hopefully the weather will work in my favour.
December is Here
Finally december is here! The weather may be horrible, but at least Christmas is not far off. The past month has been unbelievably busy for me, from the Stage Chance Christmas Pantomime to helping out at the First Lego League regional final, I haven’t had a free weekend in a while.
Wake me up when September ends
With the start of college and everything else inbetween, it’s been a rolercoaster of a month. Getting into college life has been a lot easier than I thought it would be. Dare I say it, I’m having a damn good time at Hills, although I’m sure that as the work load increases I’ll find many things to complain about. It’s so convenient being in Cambridge each day as now I can head out to the leisure park and shops with my mater whenever I feel like it without having to arrange to to to town first. Let’s just see what the next few months have in store…
It All Comes to a Close
I may be a few day late in saying this, but those dreaded GCSE exams are finally over
On the downside, I now have to wait eagerly until late August for the all important results.
On top of that the new Erewash Sound Website finally went live tonight, the aftermath of 7 months of design, coding, recoding and smashing up the computer by both myself and Dan Martin. It was all worth it though, especially as it is arguably one of the best community radio station websites out of all the licensed stations in the UK, and it can only get better over time.
The End of an Era
There we have it; we have just completed our final day as pupils at Soham Village College. And about time too
I have to say it was all very surreal, year upon year we have seen Year 11’s celebrate leaving, and we sat there and wished it was us. Now it is us, I’m not quite sure what to think.
You Can’t Stop the Beat…Apparently
They said ‘You Can’t Stop the Beat’, but the fact of that matter is it has. Yes boys and girls, Stage Change Cabaret 2008 has come and gone. Why am I writing this? For those of you who don’t know, I’m the sound director for the Stage Chance shows, and therefore I am part of them. OK, it’s not a glamorous role, but an important one none the less. › Continue reading
Autumn Weather
It’s the same every year, we get to September 15th and then Autumn Weather comes back at full force. Rather disappointing seeing how wet the beginning of this summer was. Back to another 10 months of continuous rain
Back From Nowhere
I’ve just got back from holiday (or as I’m calling it, nowhere). For those intrigued, the nowhere is the southern coast of Cumbria. Not a lot to say about it, I didn’t really do much. Nice to see my family again, and I have to say their new HDTV with Sky HD is bloody excellent! You should see the Xbox 360 on it! The only problem is my TV is no longer adequate, and I don’t have £600…

We’re at it (yet) again
It’s that time of the year again, when we head of the regional heats of the Kielder Forest Challenge. It’s the third and final year I shall be doing it – so the aim is to win! I’ll yet you all know what happened tomorrow.
